Ahead of International Women’s Day 2025, we had the privilege of talking to some of the amazing women that we work alongside about IWD.
From across varying industries, we asked three of our clients a range of questions about who inspires them and the best pieces of advice they had been given, and they were lovely enough to share their answers with us.
Ticketmaster Australia is proud to celebrate and highlight the talent, creativity and strength of the women that we work with every day.

What does International Women’s Day mean to you?
International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate and honour the incredible achievements of women across all walks of life. It’s a day to acknowledge the progress we’ve made, while also recognising how much more there is to do. It’s about empowering each other, reflecting on our growth, and continuing to build pathways for future generations of women.
Which powerful women inspire you?
I’m most inspired by women who break into senior leadership roles and use their positions to foster inclusivity, inspire future generations and advocate for change. I am also inspired by amazing female athletes who excel in their sporting fields.
What has been your proudest achievement throughout your career?
My proudest achievement is being a mother to my two beautiful girls while balancing my career and striving to be a positive role model for them. The ability to juggle both family and career (sometimes successfully!) is something I am most proud of. I hope I can show them that they can achieve anything they set their minds to, just as I strive to do.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme is Accelerate Action – what does this year’s theme mean to you?
“Accelerate Action” means stepping up and actively contributing to change. It’s about taking a more proactive approach to supporting other women and ensuring that their successes are celebrated and recognized. For me, it’s about making sure the spotlight is on women who are making waves and supporting those who may not have had the same opportunities to shine.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given? And what’s a piece of advice you would pass on to others?
The best piece of advice I’ve received is: “What you don’t choose to change, you’re choosing.” It reminds me that we have the power to shape our own path, and if we’re not making changes to better ourselves or our circumstances, then we are, in a way, accepting things as they are. My advice to others would be: Never underestimate your own ability to lead, inspire, and make a difference. Don’t wait for the perfect moment to act – create it.

What does International Women’s Day mean to you?
International Women’s Day is a powerful reminder of the progress we’ve made toward gender equality and the work that still lies ahead. It’s a day to celebrate the achievements of women across all industries and backgrounds, acknowledge the challenges they continue to face, and reaffirm our commitment to creating opportunities for future generations.
Which powerful women inspire you?
I’m inspired by women who lead with integrity, resilience, and purpose – those who have paved the way for meaningful change. I am also inspired by women who pursue their goals with unwavering determination. My sister is one of those women – this month, she is launching her own clothing label, a brand she has designed and created through sheer dedication and hard work. I’m incredibly proud of her.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given? And what’s a piece of advice you would pass on to others?
The best advice I have received: Strive to leave things in a better place than you found them – whether it’s a task, a conversation, or a situation, aim to make a positive impact wherever you go.
The three key pieces of advice I would give are:
- Be of service to others and lift as you climb – share your knowledge, offer encouragement, and create opportunities for others to grow alongside you.
- Lead with authenticity – lead in a way that not just prioritises results but aligns with your values.
- You don’t have to have the loudest voice to make an impact – lead by example, with intention and let your actions speak just as powerfully as your words.

Which powerful women inspire you?
One of the most powerful women that has been in my life was my mother. She didn’t just raise a family, she built one by adopting 7 children and giving them love, stability and a solid future. She taught me that strength wasn’t just about ambition or success – but showing up, giving selflessly and just making a positive difference in the world. She also taught me to be my own person, and I think I’ve always done just that!
What has been your proudest achievement throughout your career?
I would have to say my proudest moment was during Covid when our theatre team came together, looked right outside the square and supported me and each other in getting a great programme of shows happening. In particular, there was the massive challenge of bringing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory from QPAC during a time when state borders kept closing. Through working with my wonderful team, the QPAC team, WA police and Crossroads Australia we made something that looked unachievable happen. Our success was very much built on building a strong nurturing team based on trust and involvement. Success isn’t just built on individual talent – it’s about creating an environment where people feel valued and empowered to contribute. I believe in open communication, mutual respect and just coming together as a team to support one another.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given? And what’s a piece of advice you would pass on to others?
I think sometimes we as women think we need twice as hard to just prove to others that we are capable, particularly in an Executive position. As women, we often feel pressured to prove ourselves, wear many hats or lead in a certain way. True leadership, whether male or female should be based on trust, inclusion and being authentic. I always tell people to believe in themselves, put themselves forward and back yourself! As Managers, we are only as good as the people around us, so we should never underestimate the power of bringing people along with you. As women, we all need to support each other where we can, and we will all succeed.
