Ticketmaster congratulates the Palais Theatre on being nominated as the Best Large Venue (Metro) 2022, for the Music Victoria Awards.
Located against the Port Phillip Bay backdrop, the Palais Theatre is an iconic Melbourne venue that plays an integral role in maintaining Victoria’s bustling cultural and arts scene.
Founded in 1927 as part of a turn-of-the-century entertainment district, the Palais Theatre as we know and love is today home to a range of live music, theatre, and comedy performances and will host over 225,000 fans in 2022.
With incredible performances from Dua Lipa, the Victorian Ballet, and Bill Bailey this year, and upcoming performances from The Wombats, Tom Segura, and Counting Crows, the Palais Theatre continues to add significant value to Victoria’s thriving arts scene with over 130 events programmed in 2022.
The theatre also plays a key role in providing long-term benefits to the residents of St Kilda and the City of Port Phillip Community through the Palais Theatre Community Fund. Set to generate approximately $100,000 to $120,000 per year into the City of Port Phillip community, the fund is subsidised via a 50-cent donation from LNAV for every ticket sold at the Palais Theatre.
