Last week employees from Live Nation, Ticketmaster & Moshtix went en masse to the 30th Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress hosted by the Venues Management Association. The annual VMA Congress, held this year in Melbourne, is a significant opportunity for professionals within ticketing, promoters, and of course venues across the Asia Pacific.

Across two days, representatives from Live Nation Entertainment businesses were featured on congress panels, including Luke Hede on the Promoters Panel and Guy Ngata on the Future of Venue Investment panel.

However, we were very lucky to have had international representation with David Marcus, Executive Vice President of Global Music at Ticketmaster, joining the Changing Face of Ticketing panel.

The Changing Face of Ticketing panel was an opportunity for David to discuss the changing landscape and consumer expectations in our industry. Specifically, how we deliver value to our clients using global best practices, and technology suited to delivering local solutions.

During this panel, David delivered an extremely insightful and interesting perspective on global ticketing trends, discussing the role Ticketmaster plays with our industry-leading technology and ticketing solutions andhow we are using these to cement our position down under.

As with every VMA Congress, we held our annual Ticketmaster VMA Client Soirée. We invited our clients from across sports, theatre, comedy, music, and promoters to attend our event at the new Live Nation Entertainment office space in Collingwood.

The congress and the Soirée were both incredible opportunities for our teams to connect with our valued clients across two incredible days, and we are already excited for 2024!
