Ticketmaster has been appointed the ticketing partner for the Sydney Royal Easter Show for the next five years and will commence ticketing services in 2015. The Show, which is a 14-day annual event that attracts around 900,000 people, is run by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS).

The first Show was held in 1823 and Ticketmaster Managing Director, Maria O’Connor, said she was proud to partner with one of Australia’s most historic and iconic events.

“Ticketmaster is thrilled to partner with the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales to provide ticketing services for the Sydney Royal Easter Show, one of Australia’s most iconic events,” Ms O’Connor said.

RAS Chief Executive Officer, Michael Kenny said the benefits that Ticketmaster will bring to the Show include a full service end-to-end ticketing solution, enhanced marketing opportunities and a commitment to delivering a ‘blue ribbon’ service.

“The RAS is constantly looking at ways to provide a superior level of service to Showgoers and ticketing is a major factor that contributes to their overall experience,” Mr Kenny said.

“We are excited about our new partnership with Ticketmaster, which will see an innovative and integrated approach to ticketing.”

The 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show will run from Thursday 26 March until Wednesday 8 April.
